We know that being a Pastor can be a time-consumming and an emotionally
challenging role. Many people initially go to their Pastors for help in a crisis. Some people just need short
term intervention while others are in need of more long-term therapy. That's where we come in. We are here
to assist Pastors in their efforts with people. We work closely with churches in the area to provide counseling
for those in need. We offer a discounted rate to churches who help supplement the cost of counseling to individuals.
We also will offer individuals a discounted rate if they are referred directly from a pastor.
Some common questions:
1. When I send an individual to you, do you answer questions about denominational differences? The answer is no. We are here to focus on the person's
emotional health. If they have a specific question about denominational issues, such as Baptism, Eternal Security, Communion,
etc..., we refer them back to their Pastor for those questions. We focus on the 99% that Christians agree upon, the
love of Jesus, and the healing He has to offer them.
2. If our Church
wants to pay for an individuals counseling, how do we set that up?
Just call the Center and we will
take care of it all. Usually, we will send the Church a bill, at a discounted rate, once a month. It
works the same way if you want to just supplement what the individual can afford.
3. Can
we be informed of a persons progress?
Due to confidentiality rules, we can not discuss particulars
about a persons case unless they sign a Release of Information form so we can talk to you. Often times this is
the case and we have been very fortunate to have the privilege of speaking to Pastors about what is happening in
counseling.
4. What types of Presentations do you offer?
We offer to come to any church, at no cost, and present information on the following topics:
Depression and Anxiety Seminar -symptoms -Depression and Christianity
-the question of medication
Love Languages
-introducing the five love languages -includes self-tests
Cutting
Seminar (this is offered specifically to Youth Groups) -discussion with Christian
teens about the signs and dangers of cutting
Boundaries
-with children -in marriages
Codependency -how addiction can affect
a family
